WHEN: Monday Week 9, 17 September, modules 1 & 2
The exam is like a big in-class MYP test with two parts:
SECTION 1 -- COMPREHENSION / CLOSE READING
Read short texts then answer multiple-choice questions about them.
SECTION 2 -- TEXT-BASED ESSAY
Respond to a given topic and write an essay using ONE of the texts we have studied this year:
- FILM, TERM 1 :: Remember the Titans directed by Boaz Yakin (see also Wikipedia)
- PLAY, TERM 2 :: Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare (the link is to the entire play plus a modern translation) -- DON'T MIX UP the play with the film by Baz Luhrmann
- NOVEL, TERM 3 :: Across the Barricades written by Joan Lingard
